PADI OPEN WATER REFERRAL COURSE
Many dive shops where you live offer group or individual
instruction, to keep you active when you can't be with us in paradise.
If you prefer to do your first dives in the tropics, just let your local dive shop know you want to do the 'first part' of an open water course: academic and pool work.
This way, you come to Manzanillo with only the really fun part to do - 4 open water dives (it's much nicer than the cold and dark waters of home!).
Referrals can be easily accomplished. As a PADI Dive Center, Underworld Scuba - Scuba Shack instructors can complete referrals from all major agencies: IDEA, NASDS, NAUI, PDIC, SSI, and of course, PADI.
Yes, you can even be on the same boat as your already certified diving friends. You will need to be sure to have all documentation with you and advise us by making an advance reservation.
It's easy and fun, and a great way to complete your course in the warm, clear waters of the Pacific Ocean! Cost is $250 USD/person. Includes all equipment, 4 ocean dives (2 half-days), instructor, transportation to dive center. For cruise ship passengers, 2 dives can be done the day your ship arrives, and you can continue at another port with your last 2 dives (or vice versa).

*Every effort will be made to accommodate your vacation schedule and give you the class dates you've requested, weather and conditions permitting. It is recommended that you plan your classes for the first days of your stay. While other tours can be done rain or shine, the Pacific Ocean can be unpredictable. By planning your diving activities first, when weather conditions do not permit you to dive on your chosen day, you still have other days as options. If, after choosing the days for class, you wish to change (for any reason), we will do our best to accommodate you.
